Privacy Policy

ProPhase Electric · Effective date: August 5, 2026

ProPhase Electric ("we," "us," or "our") is a licensed electrical contractor serving California (CSLB License #1093340). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website (prophase-electric.com), our scheduling and customer communications, and our text messaging program.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us when you request an estimate, schedule service, or communicate with us, including:

  • Contact information — your name, phone number, email address, and service address
  • Service information — details about your project or service request, appointment dates and times, photos or documents you share with us, and records of the work we perform
  • Billing information — invoicing and payment records. Payments are processed by our payment and accounting providers; we do not store your full credit card or bank account numbers on our systems.
  • Website usage — basic technical information such as browser type and pages visited, collected through our website hosting provider

We do not collect more information than we need to provide our services.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, schedule, and manage electrical services
  • Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and service updates (by phone, email, or text message where you have provided your number for that purpose)
  • Prepare estimates, invoices, and service records
  • Respond to your questions and requests
  • Comply with legal, licensing, insurance, and tax obligations

Text Messaging (SMS)

When you schedule service with us and provide your mobile number, we may send you text messages about your own service appointments — such as a confirmation when your service call is scheduled, a reminder before your appointment, and updates if anything about your appointment changes. These messages may include a secure link to view your appointment details.

  • Message frequency varies and is limited to your service appointments (typically 1–3 messages per appointment).
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You can get help by replying HELP or contacting us using the information below.
  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with our text messaging service provider solely as necessary to deliver messages to you.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes. We share information only with:

  • Service providers who help us operate our business (such as our website and software hosting providers, text messaging delivery provider, and accounting/payment software), and only as needed for them to perform those services
  • Legal and safety purposes — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect our rights, our customers, or others
  • Business requirements — such as our insurance carrier or licensing authorities when required in connection with the services we perform

Data Retention and Security

We retain service and billing records as long as needed for the purposes above and as required by California contractor licensing, tax, and warranty obligations. We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

Your Choices and Rights

You may contact us at any time to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or update your information
  • Ask us to delete information we are not legally required to keep
  • Opt out of text messages (reply STOP) or other non-essential communications

California residents may have additional rights under California law. We will honor any request as required by applicable law, and we do not discriminate against anyone for exercising their privacy rights.

Children's Privacy

Our services and website are directed to adults arranging electrical services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date.
